Notes from the taper:

In 1997, through the help of a friend, JEMS and said friend shot the Screaming Trees in Olympia with access to the soundboard. For the better part of 10 years this project sat as two distinct hi8 master tapes and a DAT from the board and the audience.

A couple of years ago a friend of another friend offered to do the authoring and the resulting DVD you see here that cuts back and forth between cameras synced to the sound.

The picture is dark as the show was not lit for video and had even less overhead light than the average club show. On the other hand it is clear and steady as she goes, so while not ideal, it is highly watchable and if you're a fan of the band there is plenty to see.

The soundboard sound source doesn't hurt either and the menu completes the package. At the end of the show, Lanegan leaves the stage but the band does one more song. Josh Homme from Kyuss then is the extra guitar player.
